44155INTREPID 2F
*NY†INTREPID 2F (methoxyfenozide) - RESTRICTED-USE PESTICIDE IN NY - read the label
Signal word: CAUTION
Medical emergency: (800) 992-5994
Selected uses: grape berry moth and other Lepidoptera. NOTE: *NY†Intrepid 2F has been approved for use on grapes in New York only for control of grape berry moth under Special Local Needs registration. It is not for use in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Special Local Need labeling must be in the possession of the user at the time of application. The SLN for use on grapes in NY is currently scheduled to expire at the end of 2024.
Comments: This is an insect growth regulator that interferes with larval development. It appears to be most effective when applied at the start of egg-laying rather than at egg-hatch. Hence, *NY†Intrepid should be applied somewhat earlier than broad-spectrum materials such as carbaryl or pyrethroids. *NY†Intrepid has been shown to have long residual (several weeks). Do not apply within 30 days of harvest. Latron B-1956 spreader/sticker is recommended to maximize coverage. ^Intrepid Edge is a new product that combines the a.i. in Intrepid (the insect growth regulator methoxyfenozide) with a second insecticide, the spinosyn spinetoram (a.i. in Delegate). ^Intrepid Edge is not registered for use in NY. Note that the rate of spinetoram when applied as part of ^Intrepid Edge would be less than combining *NY†Intrepid 2F
44156JMS STYLET OIL

Signal word: CAUTION
Medical emergency: (866) 778-9538
Selected uses: spider mites, powdery mildew - see Fungicides
Comments: Has some activity against spider mites, especially with repeated applications. Coordinate use with fungicide program. Multiple applications, starting at 3-inch shoot growth, have been shown to reduce populations of European red mites in a vineyard study conducted in the Finger Lakes. There are legal restrictions on the use of this product and compatibility problems with various nutrient sprays and other pesticides, including Captan, *Vendex, and sulfur. Check the label for details.
note: In controlled tests, two or more applications of JMS Stylet Oil near veraison have resulted in a modest but consistent lowering of Brix values (1° to 2°) at harvest. In contrast, applications before this period have had no effect on Brix values.

KNACK (pryriproxyfen) -
Signal word: CAUTION
Medical emergency: (800) 892-0099

Comments: REI = 12 hrs, DTH = 1 day. Do not apply more than 24 fl oz/A per season and wait at least 7 days between applications.
resistance warning: Problems controlling vinegar flies (specifically Drosophila melanogaster, but not spotted-wing drosophila) with pyrethroid insecticide has been discovered in NY vineyards. Research is currently underway to determine the extent of resistance problems with this and other insecticide classes. Results from 2019 and 2021 field seasons indicate that several populations of D. melanogaster in NY are resistant to at least three classes of insecticides, pyrethroid class, organophosphate class and neonicitinoid class. Be on the alert for control failures when using insecticides for managing fruit flies as part of management of sour rot. It is important to note that laboratory assays showing resistance do not necessarily mean control failures in the field using the product at label rates. Rather, it does suggest the potential for control failure exists and therefore it is important to rotate among different insecticide classes (IRAC codes) and only use when necessary.
44162NEALTA
NEALTA (cyflumetofen) - read the label
Signal word: CAUTION
Medical emergency: (800) 832-4357

Note that for grapes, restricted entry interval is 2 days except for grape girdling and cane turning where the REI is 6 days.
resistance warning: Problems controlling Eastern grape leafhopper with carbaryl in a few Finger Lakes vineyards and grape berry moth in the Lake Erie region are suspected to have occurred because of resistance. Alternative materials, such as *NYAdmire Pro, *Danitol, or *Leverage for leafhoppers and *NY†Altacor, Avaunt, *Danitol, *NY†Intrepid or Bt for berry moth, are recommended for these vineyards.
