NOTE: Except to produce an agricultural commodity, imidacloprid use after 2026 allowed only under environmental emergency or for invasive species affecting woody plants and on completion of annual neonicotinoid course. Other than certain products excluded from use in Nassau, Suffolk, Kings (Brooklyn) and Queens counties, most all commercial and professional imidacloprid products are restricted use in New York State. Soil injection not permitted in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Use on linden, basswood and other Tilia spp. prohibited on many labels. Note pollinator protection restrictions on labels. Read labels carefully to be sure intended uses are included. (Example: some products do not permit use in commercial nursery or greenhouse operations.) Systemic insecticide for foliar or soil application (granular and tablet formulations are exclusively for soil treatment), or trunk injection. Soil application may need to be made well in advance of expected infestation to allow for adequate uptake and translocation through the plant. Adding a nitrogen fertilizer may enhance uptake of the insecticide. Does not control mites or most caterpillars. Low direct effect on beneficial mites but may be hard on some predators. Note maximum per acre use rates. Highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates and bees. Imidacloprid demonstrates the properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination. See Section 2.6.6 for more information on imidacloprid use. |

Z-Tetradec-7-en-2-one | | | | | | |
| Oriental Beetle MD (50 mg, AgBio) | 68253-1 | - | N | NA | abcm | |
Pheromone dispensers used for mating disruption to control oriental beetle grub infestation in field and container nurseries. Dispensers must be placed just prior to or at first adult emergence, around the first week of June on Long Island. Mating disruption works by saturating the area with sex pheromone normally emitted by females, rendering males unable to successfully locate and mate with females. The pheromone does not attract females and does not increase infestations in the area where used, though males are often more evident. Efficacy is best when used over a large (=5 acre area) with the smallest perimeter, i.e. a square or round shape rather than long and narrow, since some mated females may move in from outside the treated area. Place dispensers in a grid pattern and use protective gloves. |
